I met L & R at the North London Wedding Fair at Forty Hall in Enfield in autumn 2024 and they had a great vibe from the get go. They really made an impression on me. We had a little conversation about their wedding plans and how I might be able to assist them and they left with a promise to get in touch. And when they did a few days after Christmas, I was very happy to hear from them.
L & R had already done a lot of their planning when they got in touch and were very happy with the support their venue team was giving them but they needed a few more stationery items for on the day.
We started with discussing their ideas for place cards. I provided them with some options based on what they had seen and liked from me at the fair and their inspiration pictures. From there I created a few prototypes and L & R made their choices. They had had a sticker and invitations designed by an artist previously and we picked up a few elements from these. They liked the idea of using their sticker with their initials for the wax seals of their place cards, so I researched options and organised the creation of wax stamps from a creator on etsy. As usual, I provided options and the couple picked their choices and made the decisions which I then translated into the final result.
Following this, L & R and me worked on creating their seating chart, their welcome sign, signs to reserve 4 aisles for their families during the ceremony and a small sign for their favour basket.
They then asked if I could come up with something to use their leftover wedding invitations for their guest book. There weren’t a lot of examples for something like this online so we finally used an idea for a piece of home decor made from wedding invitations that I found and amended this to work with a hardcover guest book that would be able to be handled during the wedding and in the future.
